Terrans, also known as Tellusians by other human star faring civilizations, are thought to be the original Homo-Sapiens. After thousands of years of civilization, they left Earth and began colonizing other worlds in the Sol system. On Earth and her colonies of similar characteristics, Terrans are very similar to one another genetically and physically despite the variations in skin color, eye color, heights, and weights. Most people living today are classified as Evo III. This refers to the genetic alterations that have been done to the general populations extending life span, and improving mental and physical health and attributes. Terrans are classified by cultural, religious, and nationalist labels. Below are three variations of Terrans that evolved out of environmental necessity. Terrans are considered the most diverse members of the Homo-sapient races.

The original Terrans that arrived on Mars were not modified genetically to adapt to the harsh environments. The changes they underwent due to the lower gravity were not always permanent, but as humans stayed longer durations there, the effects of increased height and decreased bone density played a relevant role in the overall health of the Martian population. Within a few generations, Martians were genetically altered preventing the negative effects of living on Mars as well as enhancing the benefits of living there. This makes the typical Martian superior in high-altitude breathing, jumping and leaping. Martians tend to be taller than their non-altered Earth cousins.

Zergs (Zero gravity)

With over two centuries of deep space living, generations of humans have been born in little to no gravity field environments. In many instances, this was done to create traits that provided a branch of humans that are adapted to the rigors of deep space living. Enhancements included improved protections against radiation exposure, muscle and bone loss. In many circles, these enhancements were not always genetic. Zergs have the highest density of mechanically altered individuals of any of the Tellusian populations. Zergs are rarely encountered on gravity worlds.

The term Jovian is a collective name for any Terrans born on the moons of the outer solar system. In the early days of Terran expansion beyond the asteroid belt, humans were not always able to get back to Earth. In time, these humans produced off spring on the numerous moons in Jupiter and Saturn orbit, most of which are the heavy gravity bodies such as Europa and Titan. In time, through natural birthing and genetic alteration, the effects of these heavier gravities produced humans with larger hearts, stronger endoskeletons and shorter builds to take advantage of living on heavier gravity worlds.
